Individual Therapy
A space to explore what it means to be you
People come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes something has happened - a loss, a change in a relationship, a difficult diagnosis, or an unexpected turn in life. Sometimes the struggle is harder to name. You may feel stuck, disconnected, dissatisfied, or uncertain about who you are or what you want. Perhaps patterns keep repeating in your life, even when you desperately want things to be different.
Whatever brings you to therapy, I believe your experience deserves curiosity rather than judgment.
My approach to individual psychotherapy is relational psychodynamic and existential-humanistic. In everyday terms, this means I'm interested not only in the difficulties you're facing, but in how you've come to experience yourself, other people, and the world around you.
Together, we'll explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped you, while paying attention to what you're feeling and experiencing in the present. Our relationship becomes part of that exploration - a place where familiar ways of relating may emerge, where we can become curious about them, and where new possibilities may begin to take shape.
I don't believe therapy is about fixing what's wrong with you or turning you into someone else. It's about developing a deeper understanding of yourself, making room for experiences that may have been difficult to acknowledge, and discovering greater freedom in how you live and relate to others.
Our work might involve grief and loss, questions of identity and meaning, significant life transitions, difficulties in relationships, or the feeling that something in your life needs to change - even if you don't yet know what that change might look like.
You don't need to arrive with a clear understanding of what's troubling you, or a particular goal in mind. We can begin wherever you are.
